The Hurricane is a simple, yet effective modification that will allow you to boost the power output of your vehicle's engine, without sacrificing reliability or comfort. It consists of a small electronic device (Timing Advance Resistor with directions) that will be inserted between one of your car's sensor and the ECU. This is also know as a 'piggy back' device as it is external to the main processing unit (the ECU). You will feel the gain instantly, no fooling around or expensive tuning necessary. This unit will work with all vehicles equipped with electronic fuel injection. 99% of cars manufactured after 1990 are equipped with electronic fuel injection.
How It Works
The Hurricane Resistor Sensor Modification allows you to adjust your vehicle's computer by allowing you to increase or decrease the amount of resistance fedback into the computer through the sensor. This will in turn tell the engine to increase or decrease horsepower and torque. You are able to adjust the amount of "load" that you want the engine to think it has to adjust air intake/fuel mixture. This has proven itself a useful application for both an increase in torque and subsequently an increase in horsepower. When combined with a cold air intake, the vehicle operator can even more successfully alter the engine power curve. The Hurricane Resistor Sensor Modification can be used on both vehicles with a stock air intake or a custom/upgrade. Applications include both race track and off-road use.
